The five-cell, a proposed symbol of L₃drag to rotate

How space, time, spacetime, and lived reality may emerge from a deeper order of possibility

Human RNA Project explores whether reality can be understood at three connected levels: lived biological experience, formal organization, and invariant structure. The question is not whether science should be replaced by speculation, but whether physics, biology, mathematics, and philosophy may each disclose a different layer of one reality.

The hypothesis

The Three-Layered Reality Hypothesis proposes that measurable events and lived time arise within spacetime; spacetime is organized through formal and relational structures; and those structures may themselves emerge from a deeper pre-spatiotemporal ground of possibility. The tetrahedron, body-centered tetrahedron, and five-cell are proposed geometric symbols for these levels—not established identities in mathematics or physics.

What it does not claim

This framework does not claim that time is unreal, that the universe is literally a five-cell, or that physics has demonstrated life after death. It asks whether the distinctions that organize human experience—space and time, subject and object, life and death—may be emergent rather than ultimate.

I.In plain language

What this page is trying to say

In everyday life, space seems to be where things are and time seems to be when things happen. Modern physics unites them as spacetime. This project asks whether spacetime itself may emerge from a deeper order that is not yet divided into the categories we ordinarily use.

The proposal does not deny ordinary life. It begins from it. We live in bodies, undergo change, remember the past, anticipate the future, and measure events with clocks. The deeper question is whether those familiar realities are the final structure of the world or the lived expression of something more fundamental.

The key claim is not that spacetime is false, but that spacetime may itself be emergent.

Pre-spacetime does not mean a moment before the universe existed in ordinary clock time. It refers to a deeper level of reality that may be prior to spacetime in the order of explanation, not necessarily earlier in a temporal sequence.

A clarification

The tetrahedron does not represent “space and time” all by itself. It represents spatial form; time enters when changing tetrahedral states are considered in sequence. The body-centered tetrahedron then symbolizes a more integrated spacetime organization, while the five-cell symbolizes a deeper, still-undivided possibility structure.

IV.The conceptual centre

Projection and appearance

A lower-dimensional observer may experience a changing series of forms without seeing the fuller structure from which those appearances arise. The proposal uses this idea carefully: what appears at L1 as a spatial form changing through time may correspond, at L2, to a more unified organization and may point, at L3, toward a deeper source of possibility. This is not a deduction from geometry. It is an ontological hypothesis informed by geometry.

If a sphere passed through a two-dimensional world, the inhabitants would not see a sphere. They would see a dot become a circle, grow, shrink, and disappear. Their observation would be real—but it would not be the whole story.

SOURCE FORM APPEARANCE

Plato’s cave does not say that ordinary life is fake. It says that what we see may be a partial view of a larger reality.

V.A scholarly safeguard

Why the five-cell is a metaphor, not a proof

A regular five-cell belongs to Euclidean four-space, where all four dimensions have equivalent geometrical status. Einsteinian spacetime, by contrast, is Lorentzian: it distinguishes temporal from spatial directions and supports causal structure, light cones, and invariant spacetime intervals. For that reason, the five-cell should be treated as a geometric metaphor for pre-differentiated possibility, not as a literal model of relativistic spacetime.

What the five-cell is used for

The five-cell is not presented as a literal picture of the universe. It is used as a disciplined geometric metaphor for a more unified order from which the familiar distinctions of space and time may emerge.

What a physical model would still require

VI.Consciousness, time, and death

Why this matters

Time

Time may be real as an experienced and physically measurable organization of change, even if the distinction between past, present, and future is not fundamental at the deepest level of reality.

Consciousness

The framework raises the possibility—not the conclusion—that consciousness and spacetime may emerge from a common deeper ground. If so, the problem of subjectivity and the problem of spacetime emergence may be more closely related than they usually appear.

Death

Death remains fully real at the level of embodied biological life. The framework does not deny mortality. It asks whether biological termination exhausts everything that can be said about the form, meaning, relational persistence, and deeper ontological status of a life.

VII.An old question

Intellectual context

The framework stands at the intersection of relativity, dimensional analogy, phenomenology, and EABC. It draws on established scientific ideas where possible, but extends them into a philosophical inquiry about whether the categories structuring human experience are ultimate or emergent.
